Akiya Brown joined NDTC as the Associate Director of People Operations. Akiya plays an integral role in NDTC’s overall stability and growth and is responsible for maintaining and improving organizational systems, processes, and day-to-day operations. After earning her degree in Asian Studies from the University of Michigan, she entered the world of operations, training, and project management where she’s managed everything from a fast-casual restaurant to commercial energy contracts. In addition to her impressive resume, Akiya was recognized by Asweatlife as one of Chicago’s favorite trainers for her commitment to training and development and passion for helping others. In her free time, Akiya can be found dancing, teaching fitness classes, and immersing herself in personal development.
