Atima Omara is a nationally recognized award-winning political strategist, advocate, and speaker who has focused her almost 20 year career working at the intersection of politics and advocacy in the progressive movement. Atima has also been elected to serve in many roles at the local, state and national level of the Democratic Party including being President of the Young Democrats of America. She has worked as campaign manager, field director, finance staff, on more than a dozen federal, state, & local political campaigns across the country. She has also successfully led voter registration, ballot initiatives, grassroots organizing, and GOTV efforts at the local, state and national level. Currently, Atima is Founder & CEO of the Omara Strategy Group, LLC, an award winning consulting firm that provides services to candidates, organizations and causes with a focus on women, people of color, LGBTQ+ and other folks from historically underrepresented communities in the political process.
