Jen Brown comes to NDTC with a background in organizing, communication, training, and deep canvassing. She's worked with organizations like Renew US and Down Home NC, helping to build people power on a local and state level, as well as on many electoral campaigns and with voter protection efforts. Above all, she will always be a housing organizer, and works locally with Housing Justice Now in Winston Salem, NC,

Jen was the Founder of The Engaging Educator (EE), an organization dedicated to helping people find their authentic voice, communication style and self through improv-based education. Her book, Think on Your Feet: Tips and Tricks to Improve Your Impromptu Communication Skills on the Job (McGraw Hill, November 2019), has made several ""best of"" lists over the past few years in places like INC Magazine and Amazon.

Currently, Jen is living in Winston Salem, NC with her husband Alex, dogs Drumstick, Pickle, and Caper, and over 100 houseplants.
