How to Build Your Political Campaign Field Plan

June 22, 2021

About the event

Are you considering running for office or working on a campaign? Are you ready to run and you want to know how? We’re here to help! Join the National Democratic Training Committee on Tuesday, June 22nd from 8pm-9pm ET for a free virtual live training on “How to Build Your Political Campaign Field Plan”

You will learn the following in this training:

  • Understand what a political campaign field plan is and its importance
  • Dissect the different parts and metrics of your campaign field plan
  • Practice building a goal for your campaign field plan

A recommended (but not required) course is Intro to Field.

In case you haven’t heard, we’re recruiting and investing in the next generation of Field Directors — there are six days left to apply to be part of the inaugural class of our Democratic Strategy Institute’s (DSI) Field Director Training Cohort. This an intensive, 8-week program designed to train future Field Directors and help them make the jump into campaign leadership. And like all of our trainings, it’s free.

If you have at least two cycles experience in the field and you are anxious to get back out there at a leadership level and use your organizing skills to make communities better, this program might be right for you.

Much like our Staff Academy program, when inviting applicants to join the program, we’ll prioritize leaders who are women, people of color, and transgender and non-binary people.

To find out more and apply head on over to and make sure you apply before applications close on June 27th.
