National Hispanic Heritage Month Q&A

October 13, 2021

About the event

Join the National Democratic Training Committee on Wednesday, October 13th from 8:00-9:00pm ET for our virtual question and answer session on National Hispanic Heritage Month!

Come hear stories from our Hispanic and Latinx Staff Academy graduates about their political journeys and celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month in this intimate and interactive Q&A.

Our panelists will discuss navigating equity and inclusion on the campaign trail and within Democratic organizations. Come with your questions and get ready for a guided conversation on:

  • Their experiences with breaking down inequitable barriers and building inclusive teams.
  • How to engage Latinx communities through relational organizing and constituency building.
  • Why we talk about identity-based groups as monoliths and how to break this bad habit.

A recommended (not required) course to take as part of our Online Academy is Equitable and Inclusive Campaign Practices.
