NDTC Expert Panel: Women of Color in Fundraising
October 17, 2022
About the event
Money makes the world go ’round… and so do women of color. Let’s talk about that!
Every person’s journey looks different based on who they are and where they come from. Something often overlooked is the intersection of being a woman of color in Democratic politics – and in this case, progressive fundraising!
Join NDTC on Monday, October 17th from 7-8 pm ET as we explore what success, challenges, and opportunities look like with influential women of color in fundraising. Moderated by Political Consultant Kimberly Swett, this powerful space will shed light on what it’s like to be a woman of color and leader in a world of money.
Our panel of fantastic participants include:
- Kimberly Swett, Political Consultant
- Akilah Ensley, President and CEO, Invictus Strategy Group
- Brandi Woods, National Candidate Fundraising Director, DCCC
They’ll dig into the nuance fundraising carries in communities of color, how to get comfortable with making a hard ask, and what challenges and opportunities you have in establishing a robust network of donors!
