NDTC Expert Q&A: Black Voices for Grassroots Change

February 15, 2024

About the event

NDTC Expert Q&As are panel discussions centered around the most pertinent campaign issues and topics. We bring together experts and veterans from the field to share their expertise and divulge key takeaways from their own experiences.

The struggle for true Black political representation is a pressing one. But our efforts should not just be focused on our elected representatives. Black voters are systematically targeted and suppressed, from misinformation to legal barriers.

Grassroots organizing is not just for election cycles; it should be an ongoing effort. This Black History Month, we’re bringing together experts on organizing Black communities. They will discuss strategies to combat recent voter suppression tactics, provide practical advice on community engagement, and the importance of prioritizing these voices regardless of whether there’s an upcoming election.

This document provides tips for what to do before, during, and after an NDTC Expert Q&A to get the most out of the event.
