NDTC Expert Q&A: Hispanic Democrats Working Towards Change (Hispanic Heritage Month)

September 26, 2023

About the event

Hispanic communities across the U.S. are working towards a better, more inclusive future. From key issues like immigration to better support for Hispanic students in public schools, progressives must ensure that the priorities of Hispanic communities are heard on the campaign trail.

This Hispanic Heritage Month, NDTC is bringing together a panel of Hispanic Democratic leaders to discuss the ways that Hispanic leaders can get involved with their community. From the challenges of running for office to messaging around key issues, this panel will equip you with the resources needed to win. Inclusivity is the basis of our approach to building blue, and there is no better way to begin these conversations than by hearing from peoples’ lived experiences.

Whether you are a candidate, a campaign staffer, or a local leader it is important to understand Hispanic voters, and how to practice an equity-forward approach on the trail – not just preach it. Our panelists will discuss challenges and opportunities to engage with Hispanic communities, plus share their own anecdotes and lessons learned from the trail.
