Join the Maryland Democratic Party and the NDTC this February and March for a Candidate Training Series. We will be offering four unique sessions on a variety of topics to help your campaign run successfully!
Throughout this series you will learn:

  3. Create Effective Digital Calls to Action
  4. Running in a Red District

How to Build Your Political Campaign Communications Plan

You will learn the following in this training:

  • Understand what a political campaign communications plan is and its importance.
  • Dissect the different parts and metrics of your campaign communications plan.
  • Practice building a goal for your campaign communications plan.

A recommended (but not required) mini lesson is How to Adapt Your Political Campaign’s Communications Plan

 

How to Build Your Political Campaign Fundraising Plan

You will learn the following in this training:

  • Understand what a political campaign fundraising plan is and its importance.
  • Dissect the different parts and metrics of your campaign fundraising plan.
  • Practice building a goal for your campaign fundraising plan.

A recommended (but not required course) is Writing Your Fundraising Plan.

 

Create Effective Digital Calls to Action

Mar 16, 2022 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm ET

You will learn the following in the training:

  • Understand how to convince people to take action on behalf of your campaign.
  • Analyze examples of digital calls to action.
  • Create calls to action that drive your supporters to vote, donate, and volunteer.

This is a deep dive specifically into digital calls to action. If you need a refresher on social media strategy or email strategy, please view our on-demand academy for resources.

A recommended (but not required course) is Creating Calls to Action. 

 

Running in a Red District

Mar 30, 2022 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm ET

You will learn the following in this training:

  • Explain possible differences when running for office in a red district.
  • Understand the unique challenges of direct voter contact in a red district.
  • Evaluate components of effective persuasion conversations.
