Real Talk About...Building Black Political Power
February 22, 2022
About the event
Welcome to our Real Talk Series. Real Talk About… is a monthly panel where we pull in Democratic leaders from across the political ecosystem to talk about real issues affecting candidates, campaigns, and communities across the nation.
This month we are talking about building Black Political Power.
Underrepresentation of Black political leaders, whether as elected officials, campaign staffer, or community advocates holds our democracy back. Building Black political power requires a collaborative shift in our political ecosystem and an ongoing commitment to recruit, train, and support these leaders.
Join Congresswoman Lisa Blunt Rochester (Delaware), Michael Blake (Founder & CEO, Atlas Strategy Group), and Tolulope Kevin Olasanoye (National Political and Organizing Director, Collective PAC) as they dig into the key factors necessary to build a pipeline of Black leaders and provides actionable advice and insight to those interested in stepping up to lead.
