Hispanic and Latino culture is a core of American life, yet only 2% of elected officials in the U.S. identify as Latino. 

There’s a great deal of work to be done in ensuring Hispanic and Latino voices are heard, not to mention prioritized, in our political system.

So this Hispanic Heritage Month, we’re running our So You Want to Run for Office training with a focus on prospective and early Hispanic and Latino candidates.

Examining the unique challenges and opportunities for Hispanic and Latino candidates, our expert trainer will cover the ins and outs of making the decision to run and for what office. Whether you’re already gearing up to run or have maybe only considered it, this training is for you!

Take the first leap towards sparking change in your community!

You will learn the following in this training:

• Understand the steps necessary to run for office
• Explain best practices for choosing which office to run for
• Identify what support you’ll need from your team
• Prepare for sharing your decision to run with friends and family
