Entry-level developers wanted

The National Democratic Training Committee is a not-for-profit political start-up with with a mission to help real people change the world by teaching them how to run for office and impact their communities for good. We offer free, interactive online and in-person training for Democratic candidates and campaign staff.

The National Democratic Training Committee is looking for entry-level front-end developers to help us innovate to create critical training and education for Democratic candidates at scale.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (can be in-progress) or equivalent certification(s) in computer science or front-end development or back-end development/engineering.
  • 6 months to a year of software development experience/education using one or more modern programming languages including PHP, Java, JavaScript, C++, Python, and/or MySQL, and/or experience/education using front-end web technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Knowledge of the development life cycle and software engineering best practices
  • Knowledge of version control, such as Git
  • Experience with WordPress is a plus

Salary is $20.00 per hour. Contracts are 6-months with a possible extension depending on budget and performance.
