Motion Graphics Artist/Editor | National Democratic Training Committee

Experienced Motion Graphics Artist/Editor needed to assist in the creation of training videos for candidates, staff, and local leaders new to democratic politics. 

We are hiring an experienced Motions Graphic Artist/Editor to support our curriculum revision and production process. The consultant will perform the following duties: 

  • Create and present static previsualization of the art before animating that is aligned with NDTC’s Brand Guidelines
  • Animate art they and others create for both static and video products
  • Develop an introduction animation for all NDTC videos
  • Edit pre-recorded video footage from staff members and subject matter experts
  • Digitally catalog all files needed to open and manipulate any animations
  • Help brainstorm and pitch concepts that align with NDTC’s curricular and marketing goals 



  • Previous work that showcases their motion graphics, editing, and animation skills
  • An intimate knowledge of video marketing & branding
  • Familiarity with current trends in motion graphics, especially political motion graphics
  • A collaborative style that employs clear and regular communication through email and video (Zoom or Google Meet) 
  • The personal equipment needed to execute any and all work
  • A general knowledge of video codecs and specific knowledge about which are the best to use for various purposes
  • The ability to juggle multiple deadlines


The following are nice-to-haves, not essential for the role: 

  • A passion for democratic and/or progressive politics
  • Previous experience on digital teams on political campaigns
  • A background and/or interest in learning or instructional design


Time Expectations & Compensation: 

The contract will run June 2021 (starting as soon as possible) to December 2021, with the option to extend if both parties agree. The monthly hourly expectation is 20 to 50 hours per month with the possibility for exception. The rate for this role is $80/hour.
