Rust Belt Rising helps Democrats be the party of all working people by offering free training on connecting effectively with voters in our region, winning seats, and delivering change. Rising conducts regular trainings for a network of leaders as well as state and local Democratic parties in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, and Illinois.

For a network of over 700 Great Lakes Democrats, Rising provides free virtual training sessions, individual assistance, plus messaging and other resources for candidates running for all levels of offices and those who are helping them.

Rising has helped 63 campaigns win elected office. Win or lose, our 2020 candidates netted an average of 3,938 more votes than their districts’ 2016 candidates. Rust Belt Rising assisted 23 candidates running where no Democrat had in 2016, earning more than a half-million votes and winning two of the offices.
