Meet Our Trainers

Cal Jack Cade is a media strategist, coach, and trainer with a deep knowledge of earned media strategy, digital strategy, social media, media relations, and small-dollar fundraising.

They got their start working in Texas politics for attorney Steve Mostyn and State Senator Judith Zaffirini at the State Capitol while attending the University of Texas at Austin. Cal then joined the press team in Congressman Marc Veasey’s office on Capitol Hill.

After finishing their stint on Capitol Hill, Cal joined the communications team at Arc Initiatives and worked on a number of issues—from protecting and expanding the Affordable Care Act to emphasizing the importance of robust small-dollar fundraising in Democratic politics. In 2020, Cal served as communications director for a Red to Blue congressional race in Colorado.

Cal is currently a Communications Manager at Civitech and lives in Washington, D.C. with their very small, very cute terrier mix named Biscuit.
