Meet Our Trainers

Melissa Markowich currently works at Sierra Club.
She has over 7 years of experience in organizing, GOTV , and digital outreach on both electoral and issue advocacy campaigns. She started as a volunteer in her hometown of Charleston, SC, and has since worked in multiple states across the country for Presidential, Gubernatorial, Congressional, and local elections. She has focused her issue advocacy work on reproductive rights and access. The first in her family to graduate college, she is passionate about making campaigns and organizing work more accessible and breaking down barriers for those looking to enter the political arena, especially for BIPOC communities and women. When she isn’t running between Zoom meetings, you can find her with an iced coffee and listening to a podcast.
