Michael Blake

Founding CEO of ATLAS Strategy Group

With more than 15 years of national, multi-city, state and international partnerships, Michael Blake is the Founding CEO of ATLAS. Founded in 2014, ATLAS develops partnerships between multinational entities and communities of color, identifies talent at national conferences, and implements Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion as well as social justice programs within organizations.

Michael Blake was born and raised in The Bronx and has dedicated his life to fighting for his community and all communities like it. As an aide to President Barack Obama, Blake was part of the team that passed the Affordable Care Act, the economic stimulus package that ended the Great Recession, and a student loan bill that lowered the cost of attending college. Blake also created the White House Urban Entrepreneurship series to create job opportunities in cities across the country.

In 2014, Blake was elected to represent New York’s 79th Assembly District as New York State Assemblyman. In that role Blake played a key role in passing crucial reforms to the state’s criminal justice system, passing one of the most ambitious climate change bills in American history, bringing President Obama’s My Brother’s Keeper program to New York to support young men of color, taking on powerful New York City real estate developers, securing millions of dollars to improve public public housing, and ensuring employees of Women- and Minority- owned businesses are paid fairly and quickly.

Blake now continues this change work with some of the private sector’s most forward-thinking leaders and executives. A proud graduate of Northwestern University and a member of Alpha Phi Alpha, Inc., Blake still lives in The Bronx, where he cheers for The Yankees.
