Meet Our Trainers

Olivia started her career working in public education as a middle school English teacher in Baltimore and then at DC Public Schools in the Office of the Chief of Schools supporting superintendents. From 2016-2020 she worked on political campaigns around the country leading organizing, training, and GOTV programming in Colorado, Virginia, Montana, Nevada, Texas, Maine, and Georgia. After 2020, Olivia worked in various roles in COVID-19 response supporting community organizations and school districts and served as the COVID-19 Vaccine Campaign Director at the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment under Governor Jared Polis. Olivia is currently back at DC Public Schools leading the RISE (Rigorous Instruction Supports Equity) Initiative, a $30 million TSL grant from the Department of Education focused on improving DC's 42 lowest performing schools through recruiting, retaining and developing talented educators and school leaders.
