This is a template for sample candidate Aisha Iqbal’s persuasion goals. During the persuasion phase, staff and volunteers have conversations to persuade people to vote for the candidate and identify those already planning to support them. This is when the campaign identifies enough supporters to meet their Persuasion Identification (ID) goal (sometimes referred to as a vote deficit) and then ultimately the vote goal. Additionally, this workbook calculates the volunteer capacity a campaign will need to meet the persuasion ID goal through voter contact efforts. This resource helps keep track of these goals throughout the campaign cycle.
