Description

Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities have a long and rich history in the US – much of which precedes the republic, and is interwoven with our present in ways we’ve frequently either forgotten or taken for granted. Political representation from this community is still low, but that is slowly changing and we would all benefit from more voices, experiences, and yes, representation, in political office – at every level.

Are you a member of the AANHPI community and would you like to run for office? Then this virtual live training is for you!

This session will have rich conversations on the following topics:

  • Understanding the steps necessary to run for office

  • Best practices for choosing which office to run for

  • Discerning if running is the right decision for you – especially if you are AANHPI and have never run for office but are thinking about it
