AANHPI Leaders In Office – Trailblazers, “Firsts,” and Representation

Description

In honor of AANHPI Heritage Month, join us for an Ask Me Anything with AANHPI trailblazers who broke barriers in running for office.

These inspiring officials come from a variety of backgrounds and a community that is far from a monolith. The very fact that these leaders are at the table is often a huge win in dispelling stereotypes and representing new lived experiences in elected offices around the country.

They provide a unique lens into how candidates can challenge voter perceptions and expectations, and still build connections with communities on the issues that matter to everyone.

Who should attend:

  • Anyone from, living in, or with an interest in an AANHPI community.

  • Anyone who doesn’t see themselves represented often in politics.

  • Anyone who wants to know how to talk to voters who are not “like you.”

What will you discover?

  • What it’s like to carve a path that isn’t common.

  • How to talk to a wide range of voters who may not be like you.

  • The challenges and opportunities AANHPI leaders face in politics, and how to help navigate them

  • The networks you may not have known about but should

  • The real life strategies, examples, and encouragement you won’t find written down anywhere else

  • What everyone can learn from AANHPI leaders in the political space
