Using VoteBuilder for Direct Voter Contact
90 minutes

Description
A face-to-face conversation is the most effective way to persuade and turn out voters. For this reason, canvassing (and, to a lesser extent, phone banking) will be a critical part of your campaign’s field program. Thankfully, VoteBuilder is a tool that can help your campaign target voters, cut canvassing turf, and effectively prepare volunteers to engage in direct voter contact. This course will show you how to make the most of VoteBuilder, also known as VAN, to develop cohesive voter contact strategies and track the outcomes of voter interactions.
Course Objectives
Divide your campaign’s list of persuasion voters into distinct canvassing turfs
Create canvassing scripts, walking maps, and other resources for your volunteer canvassers
Identify best practices for entering voter contact data into VoteBuilder
Use voter contact data to refine lists for phone banking
Make informed decisions for your campaign based on the data you collect.
